Karimunjawa islands Located at Karimunjawa sub-district, Jepara regency, Central Java Province of Indonesia, Karimunjawa is an archipelago of 27 islands in the Java Sea. Karimunjawa Island have a total land area of 78 km2. The main island is known as Karimun (2,700 ha), while the second largest island is Kemujan (1,400 ha).


With natural conditions are very beautiful and amazing, Karimunjawa offers natural attractions that truly stunning and is set as a Karimunjawa national park by the Government in 2001 because this area has a wealth of flora and fauna are incredible.

Karimunjawa known as the most popular tourist place in Indonesia for Diving, Swimming and Snorkeling activities.

Because Karimunjawa have some type of flora of coral reefs, mangroves, Beach forests, and lowland forest. while the wealth of fauna were deer and long-tailed monkeys, and aquatic fauna that consists of 242 species of ornamental fish and 133 aquatic genera. other than that at this location there is also a rare species of fauna such as sea eagles white chest and there are two types of turtle, the hawksbill and green turtles that habitat the Burung island and the island Geleang.

In the center tourist areas there are hotels & resorts, fruit shops, souvenir shops, etc.. There are also fishing equipment rentals, diving, swimming and also boat equipped with a glass bottom boat so that tourists can see first hand the beauty of the underwater ecosystem. Was less complete if tourists do not visit the sea aquarium facility located on the island of Menjangan Besar. visitors can enjoy the beauty of ornamental fish and sharks and other fish with a nuance that can not be found elsewhere.
